IMPROVEMENT OF MATHEMATICAL LITERACY OF STUDENTS THROUGH THE MEANS OF INTERDISCIPLINARY CONNECTION WITH PHYSICS AND ASTRONOMY

Abstract
The article highlights the issues of improving the students' mathematical literacy by using of interdisciplinary connections with physics and astronomy. The author has carried out a comparative analysis of the essence and structure of mathematical literacy concepts and key mathematical competence. It is suggested to use physical tasks and astronomical content for the development of students’ mathematical literacy, it is also defined the criteria of tasks selection, gave the examples of application at different stages of the mathematics lesson.
