Abstract

The article represents the historic and philosophic analysis of social, political, ecclesiastical and religious transformations of the second half of XVII century on the territory of the present Ukraine, visualized specific of realization of Moscow government’s project to incorporate Ukrainian Church ( Kyiv Metropolitanate) into the Moscow patriarchate in 1686. The article also interprets the whole complex of means of political, ecclesiastical and administrative influence applied by Moscow starting from the Pereyaslav pact in 1654 till I. Samoylovych’s election as a hetman.
