INCREASE SPEED TRAIN INTERCITY(+) BY REDUCING THE NUMBER LIMITATION

Abstract

On the railways of Ukraine, the parameters of the state of the railway track and a number of other reasons lead to the need to reduce the speed relative to its maximum level. Especially large changes in speeds take place on existing lines with intensive traffic. The presence of "barrier" places on almost every railway causes speed limits and requires individual solutions in each individual case. To solve the problem of reducing the number of "barrier" places in this work, the reasons that necessitated the introduction of train speed limits have been analyzed. Increasing the speed of passenger trains in the main directions is one of the technical and economic prospects of the industry, which will allow to significantly reduce traffic losses by reducing the rotational speed of the rolling stock, attracting more passengers and withdrawing from the circulation a certain part of the morally and physically obsolete rolling stock.
