INCREMENTAL NUMERICAL METHOD USED FOR THE KINEMATIC ANALYSIS OF THE FOUR-BAR LINKAGE MECHANISM
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2016, Vol 61, Issue 3
Abstract
Kinematics deals with the study of geometrics aspects of the movement without taking into consideration the mass of the rigid solids (their inertia) and neither the causes that provoked the movement namely the forces. The present paper presents a comparative kinematical survey of the articulated quadrilateral mechanism. More precisely, in this paper is presented an incremental numerical method used for kinematics analysis of the articulated quadrilateral mechanism (four bar linkage mechanism). Further on, the kinematics analysis of the same mechanism is effectuated using an analytical method. Finally the results obtained by using those two methods are compared.

MULTI-SLIP AND NON-LOCAL EVOLUTION EQUATIONS IN FINITE ELASTO-PLASTIC MATERIALS WITH DISLOCATIONS
The paper deals with elasto-plastic models which describe the behaviour at large strain of materials with crystalline structure, which contain continuously distributed dislocations. The non-local evolution equations for...
TRENDS IN SURGICAL ROBOTICS
Surgical Robotics today is essentially about two families of devices, namely telemanipulators and simulators for mini-invasive (endoscopic) procedures. In both cases, the user-interface, i.e. the “joystick” to be manipul...
A VIRTUAL INTERNAL BOND MODEL FOR HYSTERETIC MEDIA
In this paper, the properties of the hysteretic media are investigated via the virtual internal bond model (VIB) derived from the hyperelasticity with the integration of the 6–12 Lennard-Jones atomic interacting potentia...
INFLUENCE OF SPEED OF TESTING AND TEMPERATURE ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF POLYURETHANE FOAMS
Polyurethane foams with densities of 35, 93, and 200 kg/m3 were tested in tension and compression at three levels of temperatures as: -60 °C, 23 °C, and 80 °C. The influence of speed of testing from 2 mm/min up to 6 m/s...
INVERSE DYNAMICS OF A TRANSLATION-ROTATION HYBRID PARALLEL ROBOT
Matrix relations for dynamics analysis of a spatial two-module hybrid parallel manipulator are established in this paper. Knowing the relative motions of two serially connected moving platforms, the inverse dynamics prob...
