Journal Title: Бюлетень "Ветеринарна біотехнологія" - Year 2017, Vol 31, Issue
Abstract
Introduction. Dogs in human life occupy a rather prominent role, since they are the most devoted to their owner, they are excellent guardians, hunters, rescuers, perform searches on the dismantling of explosive devices, etc.A general blood test is a cost-effective screening that reveals many anomalies and a pathological state of the body. In the field of clinical care of small animals, as well as in the clinic of humane medicine, increasingly important laboratory diagnostics.Coronavirus infections are a group of acute infectious diseases caused by Coronaviridia virus family pathogenic to humans and animals. Clinically in sick dogs there are manifestations of acute respiratory viral infection, its course varies from asymptomatic to severe acute respiratorysyndrome. Some sick animals (up to 30%) are possible manifestations of acute infectious gastroenteritis. Usually, coronavirus enteritis has a compatible course with both viral and bacterial infections, which very often leads to the death of the animal. The article presents the results of studies on the state of erythropoiesis in dogs with coronaviral enteritis. It was found that in sick animals observed erythropenia, decrease in hematocrit size, there was a slight increase in the average concentration of hemoglobin in erythrocyte, hypoproteinemia and hypoalbuminemia, decrease in protein factor and de Ritis coefficient. The goal of the work was to study the indicators of erythropoiesis in dogs with coronaviral enteritis.Materials and methods. The work was carried out at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Zhytomyr National Agroecological University, as well as in the veterinary clinics of Zhytomyr from 2014 to 2016 in breeding and non-breeding dogs. Diagnostic tests to confirm coronavirus enteritis were performed using VetExpert express tests and in the private veterinary Bald Ltd. laboratory (Kyiv). Results of research and discussion. Coronaviral enteritis is characterized by a decrease in the number of erythrocytes by 6% and hematocrit level by 15%, while the average concentration of hemoglobin in the erythrocyte is increased by 5%. Coronary viral enteritis in dogs affects the liver, as evidenced by a decrease in the level of total protein by 23%, albumin by 74% and protein ratio by 10% compared with the minimum values of norm. The disease is characterized by a decrease of the coefficient de Rhitsa by 46% and creatinine content by 8%.Conclusions and prospects for further research. Complex researches carried out indicated that dogs with coronaviral enteritis are characterized by changes in the morphological composition of the blood.
