INDUSTRY 4.0 AND SIMULATION

Abstract
Industrial usage of simulation methods can be given under a wide umbrella such as education, health, service, manufacturing, business, adminstration and finance. In the literature, 1970’s planar approach was used which based on “Design-Build-Test” stages, it developed with a computer-aided structure during 1980’s, and it was called as a spatial concept which has the new “Design-Simulation-Test” stages with the development of highquality graphical systems. Computer-aided industrial simulation has been used for many years, many techniques were developed such as Monte-Carlo simulation, Petri-Nets simulation, virtual simulation, traffic simulation and hiybrid simulation which based on the combination of this components. Today the development of computer-aided simulations which have high-quality display and voice recognition technology increases elearning and graduate education programs in simulation-based departments. In the scope of this book chapter, the historical development of simulation method, requirements (basic components and properties) of an industrially strength and sound simulation will be presented
