INFLUENCE OF A TRACK CONFIGURATION ON THE RESISTANCES OF MOVEMENT OF A SCRAPER PIPE CONVEYOR

Abstract
Nowadays, scraper pipe conveyors are implemented in a wider range in many industrial branches because of technological and ecological reasons and industrial safety. Besides many advantages, like simple construction and services, easy housing and small dimensions in a lateral cross-section, the possibility of materials transport at higher temperatures, these conveyors characterised by great movement resistance cause abrasive wear of their elements. On the resistance, an essential influence is also the conveyor track configuration analysed in the paper. It has been shown that, due to the special configuration of scraper pipe conveyor track (its length, inclination against the level), the conveyor movement resistance could be limited; and thanks to this, one could also lower the abrasive wear of conveyor elements. The obtained dependencies presented in the paper could be useful to the rational design and exploitation of scraper pipe conveyors.<br/><br/>
