Abstract
In the article the theoretical analysis on the research problem allowed to determine the components of the I-concept of personality. Their influence on the success of the competitive activity of athletes of junior age tennis players has been revealed. For the most effective sporting activity of tennis players, the formation of a positive I-concept of an athlete’s personality is necessary.
