INFORMATION SPECIAL OPERATIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WAR IN HISTORY

Abstract
The article attempts to comprehend information special operations in the conditions of the war in history. The author draws attention to the fact that in history there are many examples of the use of various kinds of special information operations in the implementation of rivalry between the parties. Today, information operations are an essential component of conducting modern warfare and achieving the goals and objectives set. This is especially important in the context of the hybrid war within the Ukrainian-Russian military-political and information confrontation. It is important for Ukraine to manage the information space and carry out targeted information operations with the aim of asymmetric response to Russia’s hybrid aggression in the humanitarian sphere.
