Abstract

In the conditions of formation the information society in our state, the study of various aspects of information, namely, the informational and communicative competence of future specialists, who in their professional activity deals with the processing, distribution and usage of innovative information in the main spheres of social life, will become increasingly relevant. Today, in the context of the formation of the concept of student-centered training in humanities, it is impossible to imagine the professional training of students of philology without the formation of their ICT competence. Consequently, the real possibilities of improving the quality of professional training of students-philologists are associated with the use of information and communication tools in English classes. The current state of philological education requires solving a number of tasks: the development of professional competence of students-philologists; general development of philological culture of future specialists; adjustment of the contents of the professional training of students of philological faculty of in the specialty “Secondary Education (Language and Literature (English)” through the introduction into the educational process of materials that prepares students for the preparation of international examinations; intensification and optimization of the process of teaching students of philology through the use of information and communication technologies. Formation of ICT competence of specialists-philologists who work in the field of education is an important part of the development of their professional competence. A specialist is capable of using technologies and information effectively in their work, have a new type of thinking, which gives them certain advantages in the labour market, so specialists are able to comprehend in new ways the problems they face in their professional activities. Formation of informational and communicative competence of the students in English classes should take place not according to traditional curricula, but with the new programs, taking into account the modern virtual forms of communication, which students should be able to use in their future own professional activities.
