INNOVATIONS AND INTRAPRENEURSHIP AS INSTRUMENTS IN ENHANCING COMPETITIVENESS OF FARMING HOUSES

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to identify the dependence of increasing the competitiveness of the farms on the introduction of innovations and intrapreneurship as a means of raising it. Methodology of research. In the process of research, general scientific methods were used, in particular: methods of theoretical generalization and the monographic method - for studying the theoretical foundations and essence of innovations for farms; systematic approach - to substantiate the preconditions for the development and introduction of innovative business ideas; graphic - for the classification of the preconditions for the emergence of intrapreneurship in a farm; analysis and synthesis - to identify the causes of success and the potential of innovations introduced by farms. Findings. The introducing innovations are explained as an instrument for raising the competitiveness of farms in the context of their excellent organizational and legal form of agricultural activity, the existence of a number of institutional and organizational peculiarities and prerequisites is substantiated. The peculiarity of intrapreneurship to the farming industry is revealed. The reasons for success and the potential of introducing innovations by farms are determined. The influence of the introduction of innovations in the production and expediency of application of intrapreneurship in the activity of the farm economy is substantiated. The necessity of co-operation as an alternative means of attracting innovations is established. Originality. The essence of intrapreneurship as an instrument of raising the competitiveness of farms is substantiated and its inherent character is characterized, which can be understood as the development of the spirit of entrepreneurship within the family, motivation and team collaboration with employees, which prompts the creation of appropriate prerequisites for the development and introduction of innovative entrepreneurial ideas. Practical value. The obtained research results will promote the use of innovations and intrapreneurship in farms as tools for increasing their competitiveness in agricultural markets.
