THE ECONOMIC ESSENCE OF THE EFFICIENCY OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION

Abstract

Purpose. The aim of the article is the development of theoretical and methodological provisions for determining the economic essence of agricultural production. Methodology of research. The following methods and techniques are used for the realization of the tasks: monographic – for the comprehensive study of the current state of agricultural production and the determination of factors influencing the efficiency of the activity; comparison – for the comparison of economic phenomena in different time periods in order to identify the cause-effect relationship. Findings. It is established that the economic evaluation of agricultural production is the basis of an objective determination of the influence of factor indicators on the level of economic efficiency. It is determined that the above characteristics depend on the value of production of consumer values, the level of minimum costs and rational use of resources, because consumption is the main and final stage of production, and only taking into account all values of these indicators can make objective conclusions about the efficiency and expediency of production activities. Originality. It is proved that the category “economic efficiency of agricultural production” reflects the level of resource supply, balance and optimization of costs, innovation of used production technology, conditions of implementation, which ensure the receipt of high-quality and competitive products in the volumes necessary for society, a stable financial position of commodity producers and extended reproduction for rational use of productive resources. Practical value. The obtained results of the research confirm the importance of observance of resource proportions, rational provision and use of production facilities, optimal correlation between the growth rates of resources supply and resource efficiency of the main economic indicators of management. It is determined that when considering the efficiency of production, the consideration of causal relationships, which act not only inside the enterprise, but also between the individual participants in the process of integration, is especially important. Non-compliance with the parity of prices on the consumer market causes tangible imbalances and imbalances in the economy as a whole and constrains the development of the agrarian sector, and blocks the disclosure of the potential of agro-industrial integration both at the country level and in the regions.
