INNOVATIVE MECHANICAL STRUCTURE FOR HOSPITAL BED FOLDING USING A SINGLE ACTUATOR
Journal Title: ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS, Series: Applied Mathematics, Mechanics, and Engineering - Year 2016, Vol 59, Issue 0
Abstract
The paper present an innovative concept of a hospital bed which use a single drive to transform the bed into a chair. The bed concept fits into the concept of smart care and tries to address the increasingly complex needs of patients who are in a convalescent period. The hospital bed is smart, allowing the patient to choose a more ergonomic and comfortable position, The transformation of the bed to chair can be done with the patient on the bed. Once transformed into a chair it can pivot around a vertical axis to give the patient the opportunity to get up on any part of the bed. Pivoting also offers the possibility to perform recovery exercises from a sitting position and to socialize with other patients.
AN ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK APPROACH TO ESTIMATE THE VISCOSITY OF BIODIESEL-DIESEL-ETHANOL BLENDS
In order to estimate the viscosity of biodiesel-diesel fuel-bioethanol blends viscosity data of 15 ternary blends - measured between 273.15 K and 343.15 K - were used. Two artificial neural networks, with one and two neu...
STUDY ON THE CHROME INFLUENCE ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF THE TUNGSTEN BASED ALLOYS
In this paper we have presented the studies and the researches done by the authors on the chrome addition effect on the mechanical properties and microstructure of the heavy alloys from the W-Ni-Fe system. The experiment...
STUDIES ON THE BRAKING BEHAVIOUR OF THE VEHICLES USING NUMERICAL MODELS AND COMPUTERIZED SIMULATION
The paper aims to evaluate the parameters which characterize the braking process of vehicles, using numerical models and computerized simulation, in the case of various loads and various rolling conditions, so that the d...
AN EXHAUST SYSTEM LUMPED MODEL – IDENTIFICATION AND SIMULATION
The dynamics of a car exhaust system is under observation, the vibration simulation being of particular interest. For rapid evaluation of the vertical vibrations of the system a lumped dynamic model is derived and integr...
ASPECTS REGARDING THE NUMERICAL MODELING OF THE TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS WITH MUTUAL VISIBILITY BETWEEN VEHICLES
This paper evaluates the kinematic measures of a car accident with mutual visibility of the vehicles from the physical-mathematical perspective taking into account the parameters resulting from the primary research of th...
