Innovative practice of formation of foreign language communication competences in economic institution of higher education

Abstract
The topicality of the given article is caused by the current requirements to future economists’ training. In particular, it can be achieved due to the development and application of proper innovative training technologies for the formation of their foreign communication competence. Thus, the author aims at the theoretical substantiation, practical development and empirical testing of the appropriate innovative training technologies. Firstly, the structure of the future economists’ foreign communication competence is described. It should be considered as the integral unity of its components, i. e. the system of knowledge and relevant skills. Then the term innovative teaching technology is defined. On this theoretical basis the author has selected and modified the following innovative training technologies to be used in the process of the foreign language teaching at economic higher school: the foreign language creation of sense, the design of the lingual portrait of the potential foreign business partner, the linguistic cinquain, and the ‘Foreign alphabet’ puzzle-technology. Their content and peculiarities of the application procedure are outlined and commented in the article. As a conclusion, the author presents the results of the students’ survey on the necessity and efficiency of the application of these technologies in the foreign language teaching at the economic higher school. It has proved that their systematic usage facilitates the training process itself, creating real life situation of communication, and, as a result, promotes the formation of the students’ foreign communication competences.
