INNOVATIVENESS VS DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

Abstract
There are various factors which influence an enterprise’s innovative activity. In order to arouse and maintain sensitivity to innovations, one should combine science and research with practice, focus on a favourable organizational, financial and technical condition of a company, as well as create a suitable climate of innovativeness in the company, where innovations, improvements, imagination and creativity, flexibility and courage are highly valued and appreciated. The present paper attempts to highlight rudimentary conditions of innovative processes in the sector of Polish small and medium enterprises. Favourable changes can improve the level of competitiveness of those companies on the market. The paper presents the results of research on the condition of the SME sector conducted by the Confederation of Leviathan in 2013.
