INTEGRACJA IMIGRANTÓW W WYBRANYCH PAŃSTWACH EUROPY ZACHODNIEJ – KONCEPCJE I DOŚWIADCZENIA

Abstract
Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie doświadczeń wybranych państw Europy Zachodniej w obszarze integracji imigrantów. Artykuł rozpoczyna się od pre-zentacji teoretycznych koncepcji integracji po których przedstawione zostały polityki integracji w Wielkiej Brytanii, Francji, Niemczech, Holandii i Szwecji. Następnie omówiono programy obywatelskiej integracji (civic integration) i ich relacje z multi-kulturalizmem. W zakończeniu odniesiono się do dotychczasowych doświadczeń w integrowaniu muzułmańskich mniejszości. Wzrost znaczenia radykalnych partii pra-wicowych w Europie wyraźnie pokazuje, że integracja odmiennych kultur stanowi problem. The aim of this article is to present the experience of selected Western European countries in the area of immigrant integration. The article begins with the presentation of theoretical concepts of integration, and continues to describe integration policies in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. Then it discusses civic integration programs and their relationship to multiculturalism. The final part of the paper deals with the experience gained in integrating the Muslim mi-norities. The growing importance of radical right-wing parties in Europe clearly shows that the integration of different cultures has become a problem.
