Abstract
The study aimed to formulate an enhanced educational development program for Concord Technical Institute, Cebu City during the Academic Year 2015-2016 based on the interplay of teaching competencies such as personal qualities, teaching competencies and skills, professional efficiency, and classroom management; and the identified information indicators such as teaching methods and techniques used; student’s academic performance; and school’s facilities and equipment. The respondent groups were the instructors and the selected second and third-year Bachelor of Science Marine Engineering (BSMarE) and the Bachelor of Science Marine Transportation (BSMT) Students. The teaching competencies and the identified information indicators such as teaching methods and techniques used, student’s academic performance, and the school’s facilities and equipment were treated and it was found that there was no significant relationship. From the facts presented in the study, a conclusion was drawn that the perception of the respondent groups on the teaching competencies are not related to the identified information indicators. It is strongly recommended that the proposed educational development program being presented in this study be implemented for the Concord Technical Institute, Cebu City.
