INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE FORMATION OF FUTURE PROFESSIONALS IN THE INTERNATIONAL TOURISM BRANCH BY MEANS OF GAMES AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract
Nowadays, the problem of intercultural competence forming is widely researched in psychological and pedagogical works of scientists. Intercultural competence of international tourists forming requires necessary pedagogical, didactic and methodological tools, which could function as a complex pedagogical concept. Certain types of games and information technologies have been suggested in this article. In addition, components of professionals’ intercultural competence formation in specialty «International Tourism» have been proposed: geographic component; sociolinguistic one; social& cultural and psychological components. The components of intercultural competence are aimed at its students’ formation in International Tourism branch, which requires the promotion of theoretical knowledge for further practical use in practice. Formation of intercultural competence of students by means of gaming and IT is carried out through proper implementation of intercultural approach phases in education. This approach ensures the formation of competence in close contact with other ethnic, cultural, social, political and administrative factors; it contains a variety of educational information about the history of peoples’ traditions and mentality. Having reviewed the main problems of multicultural education, having provided analysis of studies on the intercultural competence specialists in International Tourism branch formation and having proposed four phases of the intercultural approach implementing into the process of learning by games and information technologies means, we can draw the following conclusions: interest increase and motivation of general education, the rate of formation of intercultural competence can and should be done through new forms of work and involvement in the priority direction of scientific and technical progress; tourism sphere peculiarities provide the necessity of all competencies formation, as well as the intercultural one; use of such phenomena as games and information technology promotes future professionals intercultural competence in the field of tourism, which will ensure their subsequent effective professional activity.
