International legal framework for combating discrimination and violence against women

Abstract
Combating discrimination and violence against women is an imperative of our time. All efforts of international society today are directed to ensure an effective regulatory framework. It is also important to implement into national law the relevant provisions for promoting gender equality and combating discrimination against women. It ultimately matter consistent application of national legislation, containing relevant measures to ensure gender equality and the establishment of liability for non-compliance of national legislation and international treaties to which the State is a party. The purpose of this research is to identify provisions of international instruments for combating discrimination and violence against women. In addition, we intend to identify the universal and regional mechanisms effective measures to ensure gender equality, combating discrimination and violence against women.
