INTERNATIONAL LEGAL RECOGNITION OF KOSOVO

Abstract
The essay deals with international legal recognition of Kosovo. The essay proves that the recognition of this entity combines legal and political components. Effective development of international law requires the definition of clear criteria for recognition. The essay also demonstrates that the institute of recognition is essential for the protection of Ukraine's national interests. Recognition of the Republic of Kosovo has its own characteristics, which cannot be neglected. The usage of this recognition to justify armed aggression is unacceptable.
