INTERNATIONAL LEGAL REGULATION OF RIVER NAVIGATION IN ASIA: THE CASES OF MEKONG AND KOSI

Abstract
The author explored the international legal mechanisms to ensure cooperation between the states of the Mekong and Kosi rivers in the field of navigation. The content of international treaties is reviewed, the practice of their application examined, the experience of functioning of the international organisations analysed. In the conclusions, the author identifies most important problems of international legal nature riparian states are facing now.
