INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS FOR CONSOLIDATING OFFENSES IN THE AREA OF ILLEGAL USE OF THE SYMBOLISM OF THE RED CROSS, RED CRESCENT, RED CRYSTAL

Abstract
The analysis of international standards of securing of offenses in the sphere of illegal use of symbols of the Red Cross, Red Crescent, Red Crystal. The position of the ICRC on the legality of the use of the symbols of the Red Cross, Red Crescent, Red Crystal is defined. The types of illegal use of the emblem have been identified. It has been established that imitation is a form of misuse of the emblem. Measures to prevent abuse of the symbolism of the Red Cross have been analyzed. The practice of securing responsibility for the illegal use of the symbols of the Red Cross, Red Crescent, Red Crystal in the national legislation of some countries has been investigated.
