Internationalization of Business as a Form of Economic Migration. The Example of Municipal Services in Poland

Abstract
The paper approaches the issue of migration from a social, economic and political perspective. In economy, the movement of people manifests itself in the internationalization of business activity. The author highlights the extent to which Polish enterprises are internationalized and explores internationalization in Poland’s municipal services sector, which is increasingly characterized by significant foreign participation, primarily of French and German companies. The internationalization issues are illustrated with case studies of foreign companies operating in the Polish municipal services sector, including an analysis of the threats and opportunities arising from their presence in Poland’s domestic market.
