INTERRELATION OF THE MOTIVATION AND TARGET COMPONENT OF THE PHYSICAL RECREATION, VOLUME OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND LEVEL OF STUDENTS’ PHYSICAL HEALTH

Abstract

Intrinsic characteristics of the motivation and target component of students’ physical recreation are considered in the article. Its contents, criteria and indicators are determined. The designated theoretical ideas concerning this component are the basis for technological developments of the pedagogical funds aimed at the formation of students’ motivation to recreational and improving occupations. The results of the correlation analysis between the motivation and target component of the physical recreation as well as the indicators of physical health, volume of students’ physical activity are presented. It has been established that hemodynamic indices (Robinson’s index and Martine’s test) alongside with the parameters of respiratory system have significant effect on an integrated indicator of a physical health level. According to the results of the correlation analysis, it has been revealed that the work which is carried out in order to strengthen students’ health is the most effective one in terms of the positive dynamics within the formation levels of the motivation and target component of students’ physical recreation. The dynamics of the interrelation degree between these indicators at the beginning and the end of an academic year, which indicates that in the course of the occupations in all groups the interrelation between the formation level of the motivation and target indicators as well as the level of physical health becomes stronger, is defined; however, in groups with a higher volume of motor activity, the tightness of the relationship turned out to be stronger.
