Investigation on electro-magnetic transient simulation platform for<br /> electrical power system based on Modelica<br />

Abstract

This paper proposes that using the Modelica modeling language constructs an electromagnetic transient simulation environment in the power system with completely opening model code. The simulation platform is composed of several electrical system component packages and some base packages by using the object-oriented technology,and it can use for component modeling,dynamic analyzing and simulating of power system continuous dynamics,discrete event dynamics,hybrid dynamics. This platform is also adaptable to modeling and simulating multi-domain systems. Finally,the paper gives a case and some simulating results to verify the validity of this simulation platform.
