Investment potential of the region as a basis for ensuring its sustainable development

Abstract
Annotation. Purpose. The article is to justify the need for the region to move to the trajectory of sustainable economic development by improving its investment potential. The article is devoted to the study of the formation of sustainable economic development of the region, taking into account the investment component. Methodology of research. The solution of the tasks set in the article has been carried out with the help of such general scientific and special research methods: analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, and a dialectical approach. Findings. It justifies the need to develop a strategy for the socio-economic development of the regions, taking into account the investment component as a necessary condition for the development of the country as a whole. The practical achievement of the objectives of the region’s investment policy through the improvement of the mechanism for its implementation is characterized. The graphic interpretation has developed a program for ensuring the sustainable development of the region based on a grouping of components of the economic, social and environmental subsystems. The compilation of the list of the main directions of sustainable regional development was carried out and focused on the need to improve the investment climate of the regions as a condition for ensuring its sustainable development, taking into account the support of public authorities. Practical value. The article substantiates that the implementation of the proposed measures will ensure the sustainable development of the regions. The main scientific provisions of the article can be used in the practice of public procurement companies.
