Islam and Rights ofchildren

Abstract
The Present Paper with the above mentioned title studies the idea of Islam on rights of children. The topic of Islam and children includes the rights of children, duties of children towards their parents and rights of parents over their children and etc.The article also considers the position of children in the pre-Islamic Arab society. Quranic statements says:'' children have the right to be fed, clothed, and protected until they reach adulthood, and also they have the right to enjoy love and affection from their parents and to be treated equally in terms of financial gifts.''This paper also shows that Mohammad established laws and examples in respect of which is obligatory for the Muslim community to follow. His behavior towards children was demonstrably kind and instances of Mohammad professing affection for children are recorded in traditions.
