Abstract
Co-sharer in land or an associate in entertaining opportunities from the same land or of the adjacent land owner has the right over others to purchase such land. This purchase is called preemption. If anyone wants to sale his land property, as per the principles of preemption, he shall offer it first to the above three classes. This device would play a key role in safeguarding from any complexity arising out of selling property to an alien one. In this article conventional and Islamic preemption have been introduced, their objectives have been explained, right to preemption has been discussed and reclaiming preemption has been detailed. It endeavors to tell how to execute preemption right, where it can be executed and where cannot, and when preemption right elapses and why. By applying descriptive method, this research argues that Islamic preemption is more factual scientific and universal than others, and thereby demonstrates that Islamic law would do satisfy the real essence of preemption
