Jubileusz księdza profesora Edwarda Walewandra

Abstract
In May 2017 a celebration of the seventieth anniversary of Rev. dr hab. Edward Walewander took place at the Catholic University of Lublin. Rev. dr hab. Edward Walewander is an eminent specialist in History of Education and Comparative Pedagogy. His research interests are focused on basic issues of Christian pedagogy in Poland in the period of the last two centuries with a special consideration taken into the area of Lublin. Another subject of his interest are issues concerning the Polish community abroad and particularly the ones connected with preserving Polishness in the light of the activity of Polish clergy abroad. Rev. dr hab. Edward Walewander pays a lot of attention to the lives of our countrymen in the East. He is a well-known and highly regarded member of the academic community of the Catholic University of Lublin and is held in high esteem by professors and students.
