Kherson: the cradle of the marine education of the merchant marine (the 30s of the 19th century, the beginning of the twentieth century)

Abstract
In the article on the basis of many processed historical and archival sources, the author made an attempt to highlight the driving forces for the emergence of marine education in the Kherson region; the system of education in seaworthy classes and the development of the Kherson college of merchant shipping as an institution in whose activities a holistic approach to the training of marine specialists of various profiles was realized.
