Kiev period of scientific activity and the organizational work of professor M.I. Kotov (1938-1978)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the coverage of Kiev period the scientific and organizational work of professor M.I. Kotov (1938- 1978). Considered little known to the public pages of life and activity outstanding Ukrainian scientist-botanist. Scientific activity is analyzed in chronological order and the organizational work of professor M.I. Kotov. We studied the contribution of the scientist in botany, conservation and agricultural science. Illuminated participation of professor M.I. Kotov expeditions on the territory of the Soviet Union and Bulgaria. We describe the scientific achievements of the scientist during the evacuation of the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR in Bashkiria during the Second World War
