Czеch and German colonization agricultural Volyn in the XIX – early XX century

Abstract

The article analyzes the Czech and German agricultural colonization of Volyn in the XIX – early XX century. This emphasized the role of colonists cultivated crops, and followed the dynamics of these processes. The reasons for increased pressure on the part of the Russian imperial government in the German agricultural colonists are considered. It is proved that at the beginning of World War representatives of imperial power and the Black Hundreds began outright persecution of German agricultural colonists. They have become hostages of the German and Russian conflict in 1915 a part of settlers forcibly moved deep into the Russian Empire mostly to Siberia. Czech and German agricultural colonization of Volyn played a positive role in the development of the agricultural sector of economy in the region. Applying of latest achievements of technology contributed intensification of agricultural production. Growing crops to cultivation of which eventually joined local farmers provided graving of exports in the agricultural sector.
