The impact of French women's movement on the development of a democratic society in 1968-1974

Abstract

The article is devoted to analyze events connected with the social crisis of the French society in the late of 1960s. In this period within the youth movement is consolidation and separation of the women's movement in France. The activity of women organizations and the events that was connected with women movement had a great significance for the development of France and building a democratic society based on gender equality and parity cooperation. Women began to struggle for selfdetermination and obtain the right on the existence in society as a full subject, taking an active part in the social, political and economic spheres of life. The women’s movement in France can be described as initiative activity of women which aspired to selfrealization in society. Women didn’t aspire to get a rights, but they fought for change in the existing social system. It didn’t take into account the priorities of women as full and equal partner in society.
