Abstract
Stroyko T.V. The competitiveness of the construction industry of Ukraine in conditions of global challenges and threats. The aim of our study was to justify the ways of increasing the competitiveness of the construction industry of Ukraine in conditions of global challenges and threats. At this stage, the competitiveness of the construction industry limits the high level of depreciation of fixed assets of construction companies. It is established that due to low construction activity in Ukraine there is a shortage of quality commercial and residential real estate. Investors in Ukraine has always preferred office projects due to their relatively quick payback. The main problems of the construction industry in Ukraine is an old housing stock, a small number of commissioned housing, uneven distribution of active construction on the regions, extremely small amounts of construction. Found that the 5 months of 2016 the construction industry showed 9% growth. But in the past 2015 was a 50 % drop. More or less actively build all five regions: Odessa, Lviv, Kyiv region, Ivano-Frankivsk. The pace of the commissioning of housing unstable, but 2015 is characterized by the highest growth over the five year period. Another problem is the renovation of housing. Of the total construction works only 7-8% is given for repairs, as one of the most painful problems of the construction industry is the maintenance and renovation of old housing stock. Taking into account the real situation in the construction industry, measures aimed at increasing competitiveness should be formed in three main areas. First - the development of technologies in the construction industry, the use of modern means of mechanization and automation, and as a result, minimize manual labor. An important element is the use of standard technologies, process maps and work processes that will improve the economic performance of the industry. In - the second important component is improving the management system, the formation of rational organizational structures, management computerization and more active use of project management methods. Implementation of integrated system approach will improve the efficiency and competitiveness of construction enterprises and maintain a competitive position in terms of global challenges and threats. Keywords: competitiveness, building, construction industry, global risks and threats housing.
