Abstract
Correspondence between Ministry of Religion and Public Education and Austro-Hungarian occupation authorities on takeover of archival materials left behind by Russian administration (March-July 1918). At the end of World War I, both representatives of the administration of newly created Polish state and German and Austro-Hungarian occupying forces understood the need for securing the archival materials constituting historical legacy of the Poles. In spring and summer of 1918 intensive consultations on that matter took place between Polish Ministry of Religion and Public Education, German Government General of Warsaw and Austro-Hungarian Government General of Lublin. Detailed arrangements were made for Polish administration to take over archival materials left behind in summer of 1915 by the evacuating Russian administration.
