Księgozbiór błogosławionego księdza Emila Szramka

Abstract
The article presents the fate of the book collection of Blessed Father Emil Szramek, one of the greatest Silesian priests involved in the scientifi c and cultural life of Silesia. Szramek was the author of many publications and a patron of the arts. He amassed a rich collection of works of art and a valuable collection of books, about 10,000 volumes, which was destroyed during World War II. About 360 volumes were found in the Theological Library and the Silesian Library including manuscripts, old prints, 19th and early 20th century publications and magazines that once belonged to Father Szramek. The article presents a basis for identifying books, proprietary signs, methods of collection and use of works by the owner. It also describes the the subject of the surviving volumes. The article is completed by a list of selected publications by Father Szramek and parts of the found works.
