La inclusión, un derecho en la educación

Abstract

This paper exposes an analysis of the policies that support inclusive education in Ecuador, as a right of all people regardless of their condition. The purpose of contributing to the debate on the right of everyone to access, stay and successfully graduate from education systems is realized from the epistemological study carried out with the application of the following methods: hermeneutic, analytical-synthetic, historical-logical and holistic-dialectical. The results reveal that social agreements and policies in the field of education pass through those approaches: assistance-based, clinical, integrative, up to the current inclusive, focused on the elimination of barriers to participation and learning, policies of educational inclusion have been in place for several decades as a basis for inclusive action, it is nevertheless true that, at different levels of education, homogenizing cultures and practices persist, that violate the rights of students in seemingly inclusive contexts.
