Abstract

Introduction: Pre-eclampsia is a common and serious condition that occurs during the third trimester of pregnancy. Serious retinal detachment is one of its rare complications, is most often bilateral and more common in primiparous women. Materials and results: The aim of this work was to report the clinical aspect of the complications of severe pre-eclampsia in two young women in the third trimester of pregnancy who presented a bilateral DSR confirmed by the OCT. Spontaneous evolution after delivery was favorable. Conclusion: The DSR of preeclampsia is rare and has a favorable prognosis. Her diagnosis must be evoked in any patient who has had eclampsia, and her suspicion of an imminent aggravation of her general condition.
