LABRADORITS OF ZHYTOMYR REGION – STONE VISIT OF UKRAINE

Abstract
It is proved that among the various building materials of the Zhytomyr region, the largest export potential has labradorites. The history of development of this type of facing stone and its main consumer properties are studied, among which the most important is the ability to iris (labradorescence). The peculiarities of the mineral composition of labradorites, the physical nature of the iris and the variety of the color range of stones from different deposits are considered. The necessity of deepening and expanding the geography of export of products from labradorite is grounded. The conditions for this are modernization of obsolete equipment and increasing management effectiveness.
