“LANGUAGES IN CONTACT” BY URIEL WEIREICH AS TRANSLATED INTO RUSSIAN BY YURIY ZHLUKTENKO

Abstract
The paper focuses on the analysis of the Russian translation of U. Weinreich’s Languages in Contact done by Yu. Zhluktenko in its comparison to the original. The analysis was conducted according to a reader-centered communicatively oriented scheme. Peculiar features of the source and target texts functioning in different chronotopes are taken into account.
