LEADERSHIP IN MANAGING PROJECTS

Abstract
This article is devoted to study the concept of “leadership” essence in project management. The theories of the situational leadership and the possibility of adapting their content to the project activity are analyzed. The article offers the model of applying the leader's behavior styles of the project manager including the stages of a life cycle of the project and team. The team leader’s behavior style should vary depending on the stages of the team development. Using the appropriate leader’s styles will help to achieve certain project results.
