LEGAL REGULATION OF ORGANIC AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
Journal Title: Право та інновації - Year 2018, Vol 3, Issue 23
Abstract
Problem setting: Human health directly depends on the safety and quality of food products, which are also determined by the conditions and methods of their production. Among the methods of agricultural production, there are two main types: traditional and organic. It is believed that the consumption of food products that are saturated with various dangerous compounds (nitrates, heavy metals, pesticide residues, herbicides and other substances of chemical synthesis), which are used in traditional methods of production, leads to the occurrence of various chronic diseases in humans and ultimately worsens the health. It reduces the quality of life. Also, with organic methods of production, the environment has no destructive effect. Therefore, the implementation and proper legal regulation of the organic production method is urgent. Analysis of recent researches and publications. The following scientists were engaged in research of the specified question: C.I. Bugera, V.M. Ermolenko, A.M. Stativka, V.Y. Urkevych and others. Target of research. Analysis of the existing normative and legal regulation of organic production of agricultural products in Ukraine and the world, prospects for its development and improvement, as well as determination of the level of influence on human health of the organic way of producing food products in comparison with traditional methods of agriculture. Article’s main body. In spite of absence of definitive and all recognized results of scientific research on comparing the positive or negative effects of traditional or organic production of farmed products on the human body, at all levels of regulatory regulation (both international and foreign, as well as Ukrainian, as the central, both regional and local), the idea of active introduction and distribution of agricultural production is supported in the organic way. Conclusions and prospects for the development. Given the need to preserve the natural environment, the use of benign and safe food for food and, in general, the food security of our country, necessitated changes in the methods and methods of carrying out production activities in the field of agricultural production. At the same time, it is undoubtedly important to develop and increase the competitiveness of Ukraine's agricultural commodity producers in the world due to the development of ecologically pure production. As a result, it is necessary to introduce and improve the legal regulation of production and circulation of organic products in a larger scale.
