LEGAL STATUS OF A LAWYER IN CIVIL PROCEEDINGS IN THE CONTEXT OF CHANGES TO THE PROCEDURAL CODES

Abstract
In this article the author explores the legal status of a lawyer in civil legal proceedings on the basis of both the current and previous version of the Civil procedural code of Ukraine. The conclusion is made about the expediency of the existence of such another participant in the case as a person who provides legal assistance. Attention is drawn that the use by the legislator exclusively of the concept of «participants in the case» in many cases may complicate the implementation of the function assigned to the representative, based on the non-recognition of the features of such a legal design in the Civil procedural code of Ukraine.
