LEGISLATIVE BASIS OF THE SYSTEM OF RETIREMENT PROVISION IN UKRAINE AND THE DIRECTION OF ITS IMPROVEMENT

Abstract
The article investigates the legislative basis of the pension system of Ukraine by analyzing the legal acts regulat-ing this sphere. In the course of the research, the key features of the normative and legal base of the compulsory state pension insurance were characterized, the necessity of generalization of pension legislation by codification was sub-stantiated and the problems of legislative introduction of the accumulative level of the pension system were high-lighted. On the basis of the analysis, a number of shortcomings in the pension legislation were identified and direc-tions for their elimination were proposed.
