IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AS POSSIBLE WAY OF CONSTRUCTION IN UKRAINE PROGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Abstract
In the article the tendencies of development of environmental monitoring and status of implementation of international standards of series ISO 14000 are defined. Determined that developed international standards for environmental management systems has a negligible spread in Ukraine. It is proved that effective environmental management is only possible subject to the availability of reli-able environmental monitoring system, which in turn, in the system of environment management (International standards of series ISO 14000), is the Foundation and main tool. Determined that the transition of Ukraine to sustainable development model that pro-vides a comprehensive socio-ecological-economic development requires, in particular the establishment of a system of environmental management and environmental safety at the best level of international experience. Such a system must be associated with the overall structure of world economic space and to cover all the issues in the complex with the environment, production and society. Also proved that on the international ISO 14000 standards provide an opportunity to create such a control system, in which different pri-orities of environmental, economic and social objectives for ensuring stabilization and sustainable development. The system of the logical relationship between problematic situations and their consequences depending on the source of threats is presented. The necessity of introduction of international standards and environmental monitoring, as a possible way of constructing in Ukraine pro-gressive environmental management is proved.
