LEGISLATIVE SUPPORT FOR POLICY IN THE SPHERE OF RELIGION IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of European legislation, which determines the policy in the sphere of religion at the supra-national pan-European level. The author analyzes the constituent international agreements of the European Union, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU, resolutions and recommendations of the Council of Europe, OSCE documents. The results of the study can serve as a basis for comparative analysis for compliance with the pan-European approaches to the sphere of religion of legislation and public policy in this sphere of countries that seek integration into the European Union.
