Abstract
A presença dos objetos na cultura contemporânea permite analisá- los como verdadeiros objetos-personagens que criam uma linguagem cifrada, operando como signos do discurso ficcional e do discurso pictórico. Os contos de Saramago “Embargo”, “Cadeira”, “Refluxo” e “Coisas” podem ser olhados como verdadeiros afrescos, nos quais a presença do homem quase não existe; assim também, no Grupo da pop-art, liderado por Andy Warhol, as obras podem ser /idas como formando parte das poéticas vigentes, ambas linguagens manifestaram-se fora dos registros a que tínhamos nos habituados. Os objetos, então, dialogam, interferem e muitas vezes tentam explicar, paradoxalmente, a falta de sentido da existência dos humanos.
