LEXICAL MEANS OF EXPRESSION OF NON-EXPECTATIONS IN UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE (ON THE BASIS OF THE NOVEL “THE COUNTRY OF THE BRUTTAL TENDERNESS” BY V. LYS)

Abstract
The article analyzes the lexical component of the category of insignificance. The following types of lexical units are described for the expression of insignificance, such as pronouns, adverbs, word combinations, etc. It is determined that the indicated tokens may represent an undefined person and its characteristics (age, appearance), undefined subjects, number, place, distance, time. On the basis of the analysis, it was discovered that the most common lexemes for expressing insignificance are pronouns of someone (and variants), something, some and somewhere. The least productive of them are those that express an undefined distance.
