Journal Title: Вісник Житомирського державного університету імені Івана Франка - Year 2017, Vol 85, Issue 1
Abstract
Participles form, signifying subjects characteristics by operation and synthesizing verb and adjective grammar features, is interpreted in an ambivalent manner both in philology and in Turkish linguistics particularly. Goal objective of suggested research is to define lexical class scope of Participles. Target goal requests the solution of the following problems: 1) to determine Participle concept; 2) to describe categorical characteristics of Participle; 3) to analyze Participle semantic structure and syntactic functions; 4) to specify lexical class scope of Participles in terms of semantic, morphologic and syntactic criterion. In attributive relation with Participle the signified word means transformational actant in simple sentence being grammatical subject or grammar action object. Participle, being Adjectival morphological-syntactic operation transposit of transformed sentence, reflects (inherits) the relation of this action to grammar object or subject in attributive function and forms new subjectobject relationships of attributive character allowing to specify two functionally grammatical types of Participles, both Active and Passive. Syntactic relations between two Nouns in izafet phrases (attributive in particular) and relationships between Noun and Participle in participial construction (being grammatically objectal) are completely different by their functions. This equates to draw a conclusion: izafet model (G.c. + possessive affix) is used in both phrases but expresses diverse syntactic relations. Differentiation of Participle and finite forms time tags proves that Participle time tag has non-grammar character having grammems of morphological categories of verb tense but expresses lexicalized time. Categorical semantics, syntactic functions, morphological permanence of attributive forms of Active Participles and morphologic word modification paradigm of predicative participial form to – (a)n have adjective character and allow define Participle as verbative referring to adjective part of speech.
