Lexical-semantic classes of auxiliary nouns of the eponymous concept LANGUAGE in British publicistic discourse

Abstract
The present paper is a study of lexical-semantic classes of auxiliary nouns of the eponymous concept LANGUAGE in British publicistic discourse. The notion of ‘lexical-semantic class’ is defined. Nouns verbalizing and exemplifying the imagery and content of the above concept subject to its representation in British journalism are under analysis. The classification of the auxiliary nouns of the eponymous concept LANGUAGE into lexical-semantic classes against thematic domains of the concept representation in British publicistic discourse is carried out and their quantitative analysis is done. The most frequent and least frequent lexical-semantic classes representing the real usage of language units have been identified.
